What is a Girl to do?

So I am getting somewhat caught up at work and home following vacation last week. Time to focus and jump back into a new routine of training (and eating).

I had planned on posting about my ridiculous night of attempted workouts but ….. it only aggravates me even thinking about it.

In a nutshell here is a list of key words:
Gather a mountain of gear for a group cycle ride
Rain
Wind gust
Lightening
No cycle at Y
Broken equipment at Y
Dreaded Treadmill

Yes it seems that every thing I tried last night was just not meant to be. In the end I did manage to complete 45 minutes of cardio followed by 20 minutes of stretching.

I will post tomorrow about the new training changes. Tonight will be another short run with a cycle of total body resistance training.

Here is a funny story….

I have recently increased my iron intake only to cause another problem. You will have to fill that blank in. Anyway, it was recommended to me to try some Fiber One tablets. Yesterday when I took my work clothes off three pills fell out of my pocket onto the floor. It took only seconds to realize that my dog quickly ate these up. Still waiting for the result on that outcome. Too funny!!!

Happy Running,
Robin

Ohhhh Robin I just would've given up. You are a strong woman! Especially after seeing that list of "choice" words you had to work with. YIKES!!! I'm amazed that you got 45 minutes in along with an extra 20 for stretching!!

OMG on the dog. Make DH clean it up (if it happens to end up being messy) hehe

20 minutes of stretching? Wow...I guess the Docs are right I can't get away with no stretching at all.

You have a super cute dog. Henry would love him!!!

that cute little puppy would never do a bad bad thing like eating those pills, right?

p.s. we don't want to see a follow-up photo of the dog. :)

Hee hee. Puppy is getting some extra nutrients! I can't get my dogs to take pills unless they are wrapped in steak!

Too funny! We were going to ride monday night at DS, but rainstorms took that idea and ran with it. So, we chose beer instead. hehe...
You exercised anyway. That's awesome!

Layla looks too adorable in that picture! She's such a sweet little one. Can't wait to hear how those pills affect her. LOL

OH no about the dog!!! Our dog has an iron tummy so it probably wouldn't even effect her-LOL.

BTW, I have read about how important iron is in female athletes, I was reading that you need to try to eat read meat at least 3-4 times a week. GASP, that is tough for me to handle. I rarely eat red meat and when I do it's hamburger form. LOL I was thinking I would have to try the iron pills as well.

Great job finding something to work for your workout! And 20 minutes of stretching rocks!

Scratch read meat for red meat. LOL Although you can read while you eat your red meat.

Yeah, we've certainly had some plan ruining afternoon weather lately. Glad you could pull something out of it, even after all the dead ends.

Didn't I hear somewhere that Guinness has a lot of iron? Yucky dark beer...*giggle*

And poor little Layla. She's a good girl, though, so I'm sure she'll do her absolute best to keep it out in the yard.

My prediction is that puppy won't be in a big hurry to scarf up what fall out of you pockets after this.

Not fun at all when you want to ride a bike...any bike...and the world won't let you. At least you stuck with getting in a workout. Good job!
