Our house it at the tail end of the flu. We are feeling much better. Just waiting on the energy to return.
This morning CC pickup me up for our 22 miler trail run and as expected I lasted all of 5.5 miles. My legs had nothing. Chest hurt from the cold mountain air and it was just not going to happen. It had rained the entire day before and the water just glistened off of the trees in the morning light. Just beautiful!! I felt awful that I ruined our run but CC was so kind about it. Back home and did nothing but rest today. Tomorrow will be better and I will keep pushing forward. Already planning on my comeback!!
Enjoy the holidays,
Robin

take it slow! you don't want to wind up back in bed! lord - 22 miles after a bout with the flu? you are crazy girl. truth be told, though - i would have given it a try too! can't blame a girl for trying ... rest!
Sorry the run didn't go better but I am glad that you listened to your body!! Keep resting and you will bounce back quickly!
Good thing you cut it off at 5.5, I think. Still, pretty hard core to go out and attempt that run. Get better and go try it again! :-)
Glad everybody is at the end of being sick.
Here's to a new week, a sick free week as well.
Rest up.
Glad to hear that your house is on the mend. Sorry to hear about your aborted 22miler. Get plenty of rest for your comeback!
Rest well and you're return strong. At least everyone has had it now, I seem to be the only left in our household who hasn't had the lurghy and I know it's just around the next corner!
It's probably a good thing you cut your long run short. Get some rest!
well, at least 5.5 miles on the trail is better than just about anything else. except 22 miles on a trail. :) feel better soon!
The flu totally sucks! I was in total denial the last time I had the flu and tried to run a marathon on day two. I made it half way and got my first DNF.
Take time to get better. The conditioning comes back faster than you would think.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Eric
Hope you get better soon, so when you start out - you're feeling 100%. You'll be back there soon, Robin! Well wishes sent your way!!
