Spending Some Green

This is my last week of Base Training. I can tell that I have begun to build already. Really need to make my long runs happen on Saturday’s so that I have a little time to recover before beginning my next week. Last night’s group ride was not bad but with a run on Monday and then a ride on Tuesday this chic was feeling it some. I also noticed that even at 11pm last night my heart rate was still elevated and I was having a hard time getting to sleep. I am never awake at that hour so today I am dragging a bit. I hit Starbucks for a morning kick start. Grande Americano... sweetness.

Monday – 5 miles (8 minute pace flat on treadmill)
Tuesday – 29 mile group bike (17.0 mph)
Today – 5 miles… will happen tonight and I am sure it will have hills :)

So I have been given some cash for new clothes and told not to buy a single sports related piece of anything with it. Scott so knows me!! Seriously I need work and casual clothes badly!! After work yesterday I headed straight to the mall to spend my green and after 45 minutes I left with NOTHING!! This sucks and shopping sucks… unless it is at a running or tri store. Today I will take another shot at it and see what I can come up with. I also am getting my haircut today. Always love how that makes me feel. Still going to keep it short. It just works the best while training in this summer heat.

I am sorry to post again and still not produce a picture of the tattoo. I have them stored on my husbands laptop and keep forgetting to move them off of that computer. Excuses...excuses. I really do have one...promise.

Wait, Tattoo, did I miss something?

Me, too, hates shopping if it isn't running or work out clothes. Oh well, who cares;-) It's what's underneath anyhow.

It's hard for me NOT to buy something workout related, that stuff is fun. I've come to hate buying regular clothing ;)

I have a hard time finding good casual or work clothes. I would much rather spend it on a comfy pair of running shorts, socks, or tanks! hehehe.

At this rate you'll have had the ink removed before we see the pictures!

OMG! There are other women who hate shopping? I thought I married the only one!

Judging by the comments here it's starting to look like women like to shop is an urban myth...maybe the trick here is not to be "sent" shopping but to be "taken" shopping, but hey that's what the internet's for right!

You need to shop at Athleta or Title 9 for casual, sporty clothes that are not "techinically" workout clothes (although they have those too) - they just feel like them.

I don't know about work clothes though ... depends on where you work.
