Taper and Trails

MMTR last year. Scott ran me into the last aid station and would finish 33 miles of the 54 miles needed. This year will be different!!!

My last stage in this training for MMTR is here. This is the stage where you question yourself:

Have I done enough?
Am I ready?
What was I thinking signing up for this? (just playing)

Now all that is left is my taper and time to get my gear in line (details coming on this). One thing that is always recommended leading up to a big race is getting a bit of extra rest. No problem for me this week! With it getting dark so early I am having a hard time staying awake until 9pm. Man am I old or what?

Saturday will bring a 16 mile trail run. Team Dirty Feet will join me at a local State Park for 6-8 of those miles and then I will finish up the rest. Hard to believe that all those weeks and weeks or training is almost over. Yippeee!!

Enjoy your taper. I'm new to your blog, but you seem well-prepared to rock this race. It's waaaay outta my league, but I enjoy living vicariously through you extreme trail runners/ultra-marathoners. :) Can't wait to read about it.

So much wiser and smarter now!! You are trained. Trust in your training. What ever is going to happen is going to happen. Worrying about it will not help :-)

Go kick some butt!!

At this point in the training it's so exciting for sure.

Okay, okay. I am turning over my swag to you.
I'm sure you'll take a sweaty hat, half empty bottle of Recover-Ease, and actually, a very clean pair of Dirty Girl Gaiters.
