My very last “official” long run has taken place and as I type this post I am a mere 5 days away from MMTR. Sunday morning Scott and I prepared and headed out for our 14 mile run. After starting from our house we crossed over into the next town and ran to a Water Tower and turnaround point. This would be an out and back route. Not my favorite normally but perfect for this day. I felt fantastic the entire time. Pace was even, energy never dropped, and when I finished I had the feeling that I could have just kept going and going.
Run: 14 miles (8:20 avg. pace)
Complete the weekend with some awesome Triathletes over dinner and you have a great weekend all wrapped up.
So all that is left is some last minute organizing of race gear, finalizing my music selection and finishing out my last easy workouts.
54 miles here I come!!

Great last long run. Nothing is better than going into a race confident. Can't wait to read all about it.

It's in the bag!

Dang I am excited for this too! Can't wait to read about it. Enjoy it and good luck.
I am so like that too. I saw a heavy woman running at Columns Drive on Sunday, and I was just so proud of her. I smiled at her and nodded. She might of thought I was hitting on her ;-)
You are SO ready for this race!! You are going to kick major booty!!! and I can't wait to hear about it.

You are awesome! You've got this because you have trained right, and you have done everything within your power.
Remember, you are tough for even starting this race let alone finish it.
Yesterday night was JUST what I needed! So fun spending time with new friends and enjoying GREAT food. Thanks for the laughs.

Great job on the 14-miler!
All the best and look forward to reading your race report!
Good luck this weekend! You are going to kick some arse!!!
Wow great pace on your last run! Good luck this weekend!! :)
oooo I love that feeling when you can run forever. Unfortunitely it preceeds a major malfunction, my legs go numb, then cramp. I need a tune up.
Just a few days now. Wish you the best of luck and have fun out there,,
Will be running a easier 50 miler the same day, so my thoughts will be wishing I was at MMTR instead tackling that mountain also.
