I Can Ride

After the eye opener I had cycling outdoors last week I met with a group today for another try at it.  This time I would ride the entire 29 mile route and this time I hung in a felt great.  The first 8 miles were empty for me and I started to question the ride again... and then I found my legs.

I CAN RIDE.

I loved the way the bike felt to me.  I loved the cold air (40 degrees).  I loved the my average was the same as last week but this week I went further.  I loved drafting in a line of cyclist.  I love the network of friends I have.

Funny how I thought my gym membership would really change my workouts.  I do miss it and it will return again but until then I have plenty of options to reach my Iron dreams this next year.

So as a wrap up for this past week I will note that I feel good.  Entering training again is comfortable, familiar, and exciting to me.  Now on to the next week :)

You'll find your groove with or without a gym membership.

You are certaintly motivated to do what you need to do to train.

Hey Robin! I had a great time today out on the ride! (even though it was 40 degrees) brrr. I was a little disappointed when I got home and downloaded the Garmin! I swear, by the way I was working, that we should have avg 20mph! ;-)

Yes, cool photo up top!

And it usually takes me about 10 miles to warm-up and get into riding. Keep putting yourself out there and hope next week goes as well.

I am wanting to ride again. I took my bike to work with me yesterday and ended up having to have a lunch meeting. Definately getting on it this weekend.

Glad you had a nice ride.
