Trails with No Running...

Happy Feet to be on the TRAILS......

Very weird for me to be on the trails and not be running. I love kicking up the dirt and tackling miles of trails passing the hours on any given weekend.

Saturday was a day for Scott and I to just be together, enjoy the Spring like break in the Winter temps, and disconnect from everyday stresses.
Scott tackling one of the many hills of the day
I am sporting my new waist pack that Nick sent me!!
We hiked for a solid 4 hours at our local State Park and loved every minute of it. The conversation was amazing and the smashed up pb&j's were out of the world.
Scott is done! Cool tree too!

It was exactly what we needed and a perfect day!! We will have to have a repeat of that soon.

:) Robin

Looks great! Smashed pb&js are always so yummy, especially when a hike is involved.

Nice Robin! Sounds like just what the "DR" ordered. I could use a day like that...

Looks like you guys had a blast hanging out together. You know, it's funny how easy it is to re-connect with a day out like that.

What park did you hike? Before running, my wife and I spent many weekends hiking in this area and North Carolina. Certainly something we need to re-discover.

That looks and sounds like the perfect day. Great job. That is my kind of therapy and recharge.

And, I got your book yesterday! :)

Great pictures! Looks so warm. I think sometimes as athletes we overlook the pleasure (and challenge!) of simply hiking. I want to go for a nice hike now!

What a great way to be on the trails :-) Did Scott pack too much beer? LOL...

I cannot believe you made Scott carry all the beer in the big back pack. Look at him, he exhausted.

Glad you were able to get out.

How's the pack working?

That tree is just off the hook! There has got to be a home market for them.

Funny, hiking has very little appeal for me now...much to my wife's complete despair; she loves hiking!

Weather looks great
