Back To The Plan

With the unusual Snow that we got on Sunday night brought a day off of work on Monday. Roads were not great and areas went without power for some of the day.  We went without power for 6 hours and stressed about the $200 worth of grocery's that were just purchased just the day before.  All was saved thankfully!!

As much as I wanted to run today I opted against it for fear mainly that I would hit an icy patch in the road.  This also was a scheduled day off or call it a rest day if you like.  Instead I caught up on the last of the laundry, took the dog for a long walk, baked some cookies, and even got in a 30 minute nap.  Very nice.

Now it is time to get back to business.  I have planned and written my training schedule for the next 2 months of training.  Anyone that knows me knows I am all about having a plan.  I like and have to see what I have out before me.  So even though I am itching to get outdoors and run (I have been driving Scott crazy) I will begin as planned tomorrow.

Cute pics in the snow!

Sounds like a good way to spend a day off.

uh huh. Now you finally got your snow.
Now, if only I can get Stuart to send me some California weather.

Snow, cookies, and EVEN doing laundry sounds awesome. I've been crazy busy, just to have a day off would be nice.

I'm a planner too.

I think an unexpected break due to snow was one to take advantage of. Now you had your fun in it and you can get back on track!

Snow, whoo wee, actually I really like running in the snow, except for the ice that is.

Something about going along snow covered trees on a trail.

Enjoy it while it last.

I'm itching to get out there too! Not much ice on the roads this morning! Woohoo! Talk to you later!

I feel guilty complaining about the heat this weekend. Grand pictures.

Always good to have a plan - even if the snow wasn't a part of it. ;-)

Great pics! I opted for an indoor ride instead of a run as well.

I had the same reservations about getting out there even with most of the roads only "looking wet"

But hey, at least it's suppsed to be like what, 65 degrees on Thursday! Yeah BABY!!! :-)
