Conquering Week One

You know you are having fun when you spot a tracker in the middle of nowhere and take a moment to have FUN. Some miss this by always pushing but we seized the moment and man did we laugh about it later.

So after completing my first training week with coach I can truthfully say the Monday's Rest Day will be enjoyed! I managed all of it this week including my 2 strength days. Before you go getting impressed I will tell you that this morning when coach opened up shop for 7 of us to ride the computrainers for a 2 hour session I knew right away that this ride would be more of a leg flush than a pushed ride. It was a true suffer fest/sweat fest but I made it fine....all the way home and to my couch. I earned an afternoon of rest and so did Scott(he rode the computrainer with us) so that is just what we did. Nothing. No laundry. No cleaning. Just movies with my husband and some yummy flat bread pizza.

5 weeks until our first Spring Race.

OK, I've already embarrassed the hell out of myself on FB over this, but damned, that pic is hawt, and you 'girls' are cool as wet frog's feet in a foggy bog in February.

This is the stuff a farm boy dreams of when doing the slow drive for hour after hour all by his lonesome - don't ask me how I know ;)

Thanks for stopping to smell the roses. Greatly appreciate the result.

You gotta love the afternoons of nothing. The flatbread pizza sounds like a great recovery strategy!

What a fun group! I like it when folks are able to stop and smell the flowers once in a while (or in this case, pose next to a tractor :-)

Happy rest day manana!
