I feel out of the loop…my own loop weirdly.
I have moved on from obsessing about the crack in my Orbea frame. I will say that the entire frame is on its way to Orbea to be inspected and then replaced. I am sure they want to confirm that the bike was not involved in some kind of wreck which would void the lifetime frame warranty. I will also note that “another” bike shop has stepped up and put me on a screaming carbon machine. This is called awesome “customer service” and I am more than grateful for the loaner.
Last weekend some of our team volunteered to be course marshal’s at a 5k event. Here is the sweet picture the event photographer took. (I am on the far left) LOL!
A few weeks ago Scott surprised me with a Garmin 310XT. Do I even need to say how SWEET this device is?!! Last night I set it up for my scheduled interval run. Seemed easy until I realized that the interval part never started. User error…lol. So I ended up with 3 miles.
Mile 1 – 10:01 (warm up and chatting with my son)
Mile 2 – 9:10 (ok..start the intervals. Looked at the watch a thousand times)
Mile 3 – 8:23 (son ditched the failed start of intervals so I took off to just get the last mile over with)
Total: 27:34 (9:11 avg)
Scott rode his first Metric Ride (65 miles) this past weekend. He is burning up the roads these days. I love it!! He has even begun joining me in on 60 minutes of Stretch X twice a week. My flexibility has always been my biggest issue. This weekend we are doing a metric event together here locally. Should be a great course with some good climbing.

think I would be going to the other bike shop from now on....the at least act like they want your business...
Your pictures are so small...no click to make bigger :(
Great job Scott on the XT and the 100!
I hope you get your bike back good as new QUICKLY! Good news on the loaner.
Congrats to Scott - he's doing great!
How awesome is that for the other bike shop to step up!! Big Props..althoughI'm sure your Orbea will be back in no time.
YOu are so funny! Love the picture! I recognized you without being told!! And...a new garmin?? How sweet!!! Hit Pier One this morning and thought about you!
Hugs!

Glad to hear you have some great customer service at a different bike shop...
and that phot of you 4 on your bike is awesome! Too cool!
When your steed stumbles, you find out fast who has customer service and who doesn't. A good thing that there are 2 bikes shops in your town!
Also good to know Orbea is interested in finding out if there are any systemic problems threatening their frame production process. That says good things about them.
Garmin devices are the best! Aren't Scotts great?
glad you have a bike to ride!
