An A.M. SCORE

Upon the completion of my Tri a few weeks ago (first one in 2 years) I muttered the words to coach that I needed to improve my swim. You would think that I would have learned in the past that sharing comments like this only brings suffering to ME. So coach says be at the her place and ready to swim at 5:30am on Monday. Bells go off in my head once I realize that I will have to drag-my-sleepy-sorry-butt out of bed at 4:30am in order to do this.

Long story short… she has this endless pool at her facility. At first glance it looks inviting but let me tell you that within a very short time she handed my BUTT to me and then some. I was blown away with the difference of swimming in it compared to a lap pool. Good news is that with two slight tweaks in my stroke she had me swimming faster with a little less effort. SCORE!!

I repeated another early drag-my-sleepy-sorry-butt out of bed routine at 5am this morning to sweat it out on the trainer in my garage for an hour. Worth it since it will free me up tonight to join some girlfriends for dinner downtown. SCORE again.

A little suffering never hurt anyone..right ?!

Score indeed! We all crave a little suffering now and then. It's what makes us stronger! LOL

Thank God for morning people! Good to know someone is keeping the world turning while I saw a few more logs.

Sounds like you have a great trainer, and happy you managed to stay out of the pump. ;) You go girl!
