Off Season Maintenance - GO TIME

Like everything in life even our bodies need to have some down time following a big year in training numbers and events.

Following the Louisville Ironman I took the needed time off to heal the fractured rib as well as my entire body in general.   In the process I just about drove my husband over the edge with all of my free time.  I came up with list, and plans on all kinds of projects we could do in the house.  Overdosed on HGTV and cooked myself into the a sugary dark place I worked so hard to give up with the Food Network.

Today begins my structured/not so structured off season maintenance plan that will take me through the end of the year.  I will keep the cycling scaled back a bit, focus in on some running forms and drills, and soon work on my overall swim.  Technique…technique… TECHNIQUE.

First Half Iron Tri of the year will take place in May 2012.  I am excited about all of our plans.  With hubby joining in along with some of our closest friends this is going to be one great time.  Love what you do and smile your way through the good times!

May 2012 for your first half-IM. Which one is that? Rev3 Knoxville? I love the concept of an off-season maintenance plan. I need to get one of those in plan. 2012 is going to be an awesome year!
