My Head?%!*%#

So I guilted my husband into doing Cycle Class at the Y with me last night. Why should I be the only one to suffer right?? This class is always an intense 60 minutes with an instructor that is a crazed driven mad woman. Really she is the most incredible motivator which is why her class is so hard to get into. I am alternating this class into to my training every other week as to keep things fresh. So far it has worked and I love how it challenges me each time I go.

Not feeling 100% today and am trying to convince myself that I am not getting sick. Please let all this junk in my head be from sinuses not a full blown cold. In the morning I am scheduled to leave town with my sister for the weekend on a woman’s outdoor retreat. Some high ropes, mountain biking, archery, and fly fishing will fill most of our time. Should be great fun!! Before I head out of town I am going to do my very best to get in a 14 mile run. So for now I will drink lots of water and wish these yucky feelings away.

Will post when I return with pictures.

Run Happy!!

Robin

That sucks! Hope it's just a little passing thing, and doesn't impact your weekend. I'm starting to really dig the G-Man's theory of resting/recovering as hard as you train, either for injury or sickness. Makes sense...which means I will probably never do it myself! LOL

Get better, Robin!

You ARE the woman! I don't think I could drag my husband's butt to ANY kind of class that had anything to do with exercise LOL.

Yucky on not feeling good. I hope it's just a passing thing, or maybe allergies? Don't want it to ruin your fun with your sister!

Robin - Hope you feel better and have a wonderful weekend! Reuben gave me the card of the guy you use, so I'm going to call tomorrow.

I've got to get back in spinning class. I really enjoyed it.

Hopefully it is the mind playing taper-tricks on you. The only thing I would throw in would be that rather than two complete days off before the race, go out for a quick 1-2 mile run the morning before race day to shake your legs out. That should help you avoid that "heavy" feeling in your legs at the beginning of the race without causing you to use up much energy.

Just a thought, but it has helped me in the past.

I envy your outdoorsyness. Love the activities, but I have trouble dealing with the lack of plumbing, and all that organic stuff everywhere.

Oh...my love....GUILTED ME? I did it becuase I love you and wanted to spend time with you. Even if it was an "intensly driven" exercise.
Kidding aside..you know I love to cycle.

As long as it's just in your head and doesn't move below the neck, you'll be fine. Enjoy!
