Count Down

Nothing on the running front to report sadly. My plan was to go out and run another 5k distance to test my theory of being slower than my time the two days before. Yesterday I had a headache hit me from left field and within 30 minutes I was just sick to my stomach with pain. White clusters, cold sweats, nausea … the works! By the time I made it home all I wanted to do was cover my face in darkness and wish the pain away. Crazy enough I kept telling myself that I would give it 15 minutes and then head to the YMCA to begin my workout. When 30 minutes had passed my plan changed to beginning just shortly after dinner. Still would have plenty of time to get everything in that I had planned.

Who was I kidding? As I sit here now my head still hurts, though not near as bad as it did yesterday. In the morning I will join some of my girlfriend for a trail run. We plan on just running until we feel like stopping. No time or distance in mind….just fun.

That's a great pic of you and Scott. Hopefully it won't be too hot down at HH for the vacation. And get Greg to smile in at least one pic if you can. :-p

Sorry to hear about the aching nugget. Nothing like blinding pain to completely derail your fitness plans. I hope it gets better.

Sorry to hear about the head-aches, but as always, I'm impressed that your first thought is "when can I get out and train". I somehow missed your 5K while I was on the road. Congratulations!

The pic is GREAT! Definitely one to have framed (if you don't already)

Bummer on the headache and sickness. I hope you feel better!! Nothing worse than that nonsense.

Damn, what are you on vacation every week? LMAO! It seems like you're always going places!! (I just say that because I'm jealous ;) )

I removed that song link, it is a pain in ass because it always downloads even when I take off auto-start...let me know if it's better now..

Umm what is up with Headaches?? is it cuz u were pushing too hard? I kinda missed why u were not feeling good after that run?

ha! that cracks me up - searing pain in your head & you think ... just a little bit longer, then i can run. I would do the same. I got hit by a car a couple of months ago - went over the hood ... once i picked myself up i actually thought that i should finish my run. i figured the adrenaline would make for a good fast one. (i didn't - but thought about it!). sometimes i think things happen for a reason - to tell us (or force us) to slow down, take a rest.

i think those runs where you just go - (no time, distance, - for me, an hr monitor and watch) make for some good ones ... sort of get you back on track.

clearly, you & i are on same schedule - i officialy start my training next week too. getting all my ducks in a row this week - wish that included a vacation - but no such luck! Have a good one!

That white blinding pain is so upsetting, especially when it lingers like that. I hope your trail run goes well with your gf's...it's good to do a run with no real goal attached to it every once in a while....*S*

That is a really cute pic of the two of you.

Oh, and regarding the run after increasing the weight on my legs ... it didn't happen ... for two days. The legs and butt were too sore to even entertain any type of THOUGHT pertaining to motion.

Seriously, walking up the stairs to get to my office had me grimacing. I didn't go out to lunch for two days because I wanted to minimize the amount of stair travel ... and travel in general.
