I AM GROWING

In this I mean that I am growing as an athlete. Two things can evolve out of injuries. One - giving up. Two - learning and getting better. I pick the second option and have decided to embrace this as a learning opportunity. Almost 5 years ago I knew nothing about this sport . Even now I realize that I have so much to learn.

With this mysterious knee pain that has arrived and taken space in my body I know that even it is temporary and once gone I will be an even stronger, more driven athlete. Funny how dreaded miles can change to desired miles when you are stopped dead in your tracks.

This South Carolina Girl is more focused than ever.

Thanks Bob, your time and information was very much appreciated!! More to follow later my friends.

You are an even smart runner for listening to your peers, forming your own opinion, and acting on it :-) L.A. (Lower Alabama) boy just sayin.....

Is it just me, or does your latest blog entry have "Eye of the Tiger" playing in the background? Awesome focus and determination. Bust through this with a smart plan and that drive, and nothing will stop you!

I suspect that you'll come back stronger than ever.

It sounds cheesy, but it all happens for a reason.

You are so driven, that I don't think nothing will get in your way. I could tell your confidence came back while I was talking to you on the phone, and thanks for the chat btw.

Don't focus too much or you will burn a hole in your computer screen!

Hang in there! The human body is amazing. Your knee will heal, you will run again!

Yep, Bob is the man! He told me exactly what physical therapy fixed. Get that roller thingy if you don't have one already!

You go girl!! You can do it! You will be back stronger then ever!

I totally agree with Mendy, I don't think anything will get in your way. This is just a little side step in the whole scheme of things.

BTW pass over that hooch that David says you've been smokin :P

the sucky thing about knees is you just can't cut them off and throw them away if they're bothering you. :(

Oh, it seems we have a knee problem... I know what you mean. I do not want to cripple myself, but do I stop now because the knee feels funny?
