Year End Numbers for 2007 (just for fun):
Number of Marathons: 4
Number of Ultras: 2
Number of DNF’s: 2 (heat factored one race and GI issues factored the other)
Number of New Trail Shoes Purchased: 1
Number of Road Shoes Purchased: 3
Times that I have fallen on mother earth while running trails: 3
Pairs of Gloves sacrificed for toilet tissue: 1
Number of trees snapped in two while holding on going to the potty: 1 (it was CC’s idea)
Longest distance ran: 36
Shortest distance ran: 2
Miles Ran To Date: 1408
Highest Mileage Month: September with 186
Lowest Mileage Month: March with 67
Race Budget: Priceless…right?!! Anyone want to sponsor me??
I can truly say that I have learned so much just this past year alone. Adding in a weekly routine of weight training and yoga should help in some keys areas of needed attention. I am most amazed at the new steps and knowledge I am taking towards better nutrition. Having cut 95% of sugar out of my diet for two weeks was an eye opener for me. Even now when I have any decent amounts of sugar I am amazed at how toxic it makes me feel. I will continue this New Year to grow in an even better understanding for an even better running year in 2008.
So I finish this post with random race pictures from this past year’s adventures.

One of the times I kissed mother earth.
Black Mountain Marathon
Birthday for Scott
Scott running me in at the last station at MMTR. It was a hard DNF but I was so thankful to have him there at mile 33.
Wishing you all a safe and Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas, Robin! Congrats on a great year:-)
Great set of stats, looking forward to them all being exceeded in '08 well except the DNFs, gloves and falls!
I can't believe you packed in 4 marathons and 2 ultras and forgot the TP!
PS here's a tip for holding onto the tree, pack 10ft of sting and wrap it around something stronger further away and hang on ;-)
That was fun! Now I need to run my own numbers
Wow, great year. You can be really proud. 1408, now that's mileage!!
