Is It Enough?

Can you over do it on cabbage? My stomach enjoyed the cabbage salad I made today for lunch but now it is talking and it sounds like a party is going on in there. Hummmmm….. that feeling does not feel or sound friendly.

I am really looking forward to my workout tonight. I took yesterday off and enjoyed a birthday evening with my youngest. He reminded me that in one year he will be driving. Yikes!! My husband does so much better with this kind of stuff than I do. I totally go into freak out mode driving around with my 17 years old that drives really good. I need to relax before I cause an accident…LOL!!

Anyway, tonight I plan on a run / bike workout. Thinking that I will run 7 miles and then jump in a spin class for 30 minutes. I know I am still tackling some miles with these split up runs over the past two weeks but I just feel like I am not doing enough. I really want to complete this first Ultra this year and I am growing a little concerned. Don’t you just love how all of the tiny doubts creep towards the end of a training cycle.

Cabbage = gas :-) Still tastes good though :-)

Dee Dee wouldn't ride in the front seat when Jimmy was learning to drive. Chicken! LOL!!

You are so motivated it's awesome and I hope contagious. I'm getting in my 30 miles...but not really striving for anything new.

Cabbage is so good for you, and lasts so much longer than lettuce, but that rumbling is UBFs.

What's a UBF, you ask? UnBorn Fart. Have fun playing dutch oven with Scott! LOL

Why, yes, you definitely can get too much cabbage.

And yes, you should borrow my club any time one of those little doubts creeps up. BAM!

I get the same way with the doubts, don't let them creep in!! You have trained hard and need to remember that!

Looking forward to seeing you soon. MM or WW? Your call!

I think you got me thinking,, A boy driving my little girl around.. Now I'm freakin..

You have been consistently running, so you should be okay for your 1st ultra.. You will do great.

You have put so much work into your training, it will do you well. Glad you got a day off in there. You totally deserve it!

I'm not a fan of cabbage so I say just eating 1 piece of it is over doing it!

Just let your husband handle riding w/ your teen driver. Or just make sure you take some real deep breaths before getting into the passenger seat.

It's hard not wonder whether you're doing enough but I believe you're doing just fine. Sure there may be times where you may have to skip a workout here or there but in the end the ultra is not fast race to begin w/ & just the fact that you're doing it,is enough.

Hope your run went well last night. I keep comming across your blog postings on wes, david, nancy, marcy, mindy, stephanie, lisa, etc. I thought I would stop by and say hi. from your pictures, you do not look old enough to have a 15 year old. Our kids range from 13 to 3, ouch. Just a final thought to make you feel better, college is just around the corner for the kids (ouch!)

Not sure i could have caggabe as a standalone luch item, I'll stick to my left over turkey lasagna that I made yesterday.

Wow less than three weeks to go, you'll do great :-)

you gotta just tell doubt that he is not invited to your party. he needs to leave. you are doing great, especially with the little wrench that was thrown in your works with the doctor-ordered split runs. you are making it work.

my husband always does better with our son too ... i just think he knows the perfect thing to say. my son & i are a lot alike which leads to us butting heads a lot.

as for that cabbage. i don't really like it, but i know all abotu those rumblings & i'm with david on the UBF thing. never heard it put that way, but yeah - that sound about right!
