Mud Run

In past years Scott and I have ran in a local Marine Mud Run but not this year.  The torch was passed to our oldest son who in July will be entering into the Marines himself.  Our youngest was bummed to not be able to join them but had a band concert on the same day.

His team of four are all going into the service.  I could not be more proud of the decision they have made and will pray for them all daily.
(our son is the tallest on the right)

The four mile course was filled with more than 30 obstacles.  These boys loved it and wanted to do it all over again.  Fantastic event!!!!

Excited to say that not only did I hit the trails for a short run this weekend but I also did two swim workouts and two rides as well.  I feel great and am excited to see continued improvement.

This week I will be doing a more structured swim workout and weight routine.  Planning out my workout is going to be more important as I prepare for this Tri at the end of June.

Happy running all!!
Robin

Kudos to your son and his friends...they are very courageous to go into the service, and tell them we appreciate it!

Looks like they had a fun time at the race :)

Nice training for you, too.

Those mud runs look too fun! I need to see if we something like that in Va. I know you must be very proud but scared of your eldest heading off to the Marines. I will also keep him & your fam in my prayers as well. Good job on the runs & swimming this past weekend!
