Mad Feet

Pre Ride Photo in my $10 Jersey.  Deal of the Century!!

In a nutshell the group ride was much smaller tonight but I am pretty pleased with the outcome of it.  I rode in the "big wheel" for about 45% of the ride, drafted for about 60% of the ride, and hung onto the lead riders tire on 90% of the hills.  He even commented that he could tell that I was improving and was surprised to see me so close when he thought he had dropped me.  I was very flattered by this and it only makes me want to keep working harder.

Ride:  34.23 (average 16.6 pace)

The only side note I will make is that I wore a pair of TRAIL SOCKS that were way to thick and it caused me a ton of pain from mile 10 on.  As we rode into my neighborhood I quickly jumped off of my bike and took those babies off.  Made an interesting run.

Run: 3.04 (average 9:04 pace)

Not bad but I was way to focused on my freaking feet to really get into the run.
Now I am pounding some Gatorade and am in my comfy pj's.  All that is left is about 20 minutes of stretching.  And this is the exciting times in my life :)

Ok... gotta ask. where'd you find a $10 jersey? I have been looking but not satisfied with $50-70 jerseys.

It's amazing how much difference socks can make!! :-)

For me, It's worth the extra 10seconds in transition to put them on. Comfort, comfort, comfort!

How's traffic on the group rides? You guys are leaving from Carolina Tri right? Now that I'm working some at my new bosses place (in simpsonville) I go RIGHT by there on my way home so I think that I would like to try to make a ride or two before we move...
