Covering Some Miles

It has been a crazy, great week so I will get right to the fun.

As promised here are some pictures from the DuPont Waterfall Bonanza run last Saturday. Really looking forward to some future trail runs with this group. They know how to have fun and cover tons of miles at the same time.

First of many Waterfall stops (I am second from the left)
Lots of 2009 planning meetings at work this week that have kept me covered up and wiped out by the time I would get home. One night I was a sleep by 9pm and slept solid until 6am. I work for such a great company and count it a blessing to be part of what I do. Managed most all of my training considering the shift in schedule with work this past week. Next week will be back to normal. :)

Last night Susan and Chris joined me for a 20 mile ride through the country. We got soaked but had a fun time. This really is a great way to end the week before my long runs on Saturday. I love being on the bike and the company was only a bonus. A quick 5 miles would wrap up the day. I just could not waste the great weather.

Heading to another new location and hitting the trails with some new people again this weekend. This training is turning into more of a mission of meeting and finding new people to share the miles with. What a fun time!! 16 -18 miles….. should pass by rather fast when you are running your mouth.
Cheers to the weekend!
Robin

I enjoyed the ride last night--just thankful that the rain wasn't a downpour! Glad you got your run in afterwards. Thought about you while I was inhaling those pancakes, sausages, and eggs!! Yummy! I didn't need as many calories as Micheal Phelps, but I think I came close to it! Looking forward to tomorrow's run.
Love ya,
Susan

The waterfall run is a great idea! What a great way to cool down and goof off during a long run!

Our weather is just getting summer-like with 90 degrees yesterday and expected to be the same the next few days.

Rob Hester aka Rattler and I head over to the Plain 100 course for a training run this weekend. Temperatures are expected to be near 100. I think we will be looking for a few waterfalls too!

Hey Robin! I loved the ride last night. Thanks for the invitation! It was awesome, even with the rain. And that scene coming back to the house with the sun peaking through the trees lighting up the last remnant of falling rain! Suhweet!

Great pics. It looks like you had a awesome group (of course Team Dirty Feet rocks!!........but)

I know that it was a challenging day for you but you are WAY beyond strong and I know that you learned a ton from the day that will help you at MMTR.

See you this weekend in Greenville..
