Looking for Heat Relief

Why would you do this to your body?!!

My entire upper body is talking today… and yesterday for that matter. Coach Morgan (aka my son) is joining me and pushing me with a new routine that I am doing twice a week. Monday was my first session and tonight will be my second… and from the way my upper body feels I am sure it will be interesting. The lower body workout was similar to what I had been doing before and was mainly a change in reps. Add in some ab and lower back work and the entire workout takes a solid 45 minutes.

Following weights tonight I have a 7 miler and my girl Jackie has offered to run and keep me company. After whining so much about the heat following the cycle ride yesterday I am surprised that I will have any company for this run at all. The heat is really sucking the life out of me these past few days. I am still managing to push my pace but my energy is not what I would like it to be.

Officially OVER SUMMER!!!

Saturday I am joining a NC Trail running club for a 22 mile waterfall run. It is a self supported run so I had to purchase some drops to add to the stream water for drinking purposes. Since the course will likely not be marked the director of this also said that it would be good to sharpen our map reading skills… so this will likely be my last post ever! I am the worst when it come to reading trail maps. In all I think we have maybe a dozen committed to coming out for this run so I am looking forward to meeting new people. Best part is that the temps will only be in the mid 80’s…now that will be heaven.

I have no earthly idea why anyone would try to make themselves look like the human Michelin Man. It doesn't seem to make much sense.

LOL... I'm sure you'll wander into civilization eventually. Just don't digress into North Carolina :-)

OK. You are leading the train on the "I HATE THE HEAT" tour :-)

Wowza! What a picture! MSNBC has an interesting documentary on the other night called "Muscle Women" or something like that. It highlighted female bodybuilders. All I could think about was how if I had 'that' much muscle on me, I would sink during my swim! LOL!
