Team Dirty Feet ..grows

Finding others that love trail running has never been an easy task. It is almost as if we are part of a secret society… until now. Out of nowhere we have formed a new community of trail runners deemed Team Dirty Feet and each week it has become fun again checking off the miles of training.

This past week was no different. My Friday nights are not always fun with all the prep work needed to get ready for the trails, not to mention getting to bed early, but as soon as my feet hit the trails I continue to be amazed at how beautiful my surrounds are. I may be running but in a way I feel like I am taking it all in and not missing anything. Sad that everyone does not realize how absolutely wonderful this is.

Following the run and lunch I headed to our local shop to replace my trail shoes. I knew the support was gone but once I noticed that they were splitting on the sides I had no choice but to spend some more cash. Gotta keep out feet happy!!

So here are my new babies……..

Brooks Women's Cascadia Trail Shoe

I can hardly wait to break them in. Nothing like a sweet new pair of shoes!!!

I've enjoyed my runs on the trails. Just wish they weren't so darn hilly :-)

Break them shoes in gentle! No twenty milers first time out!!

Thanks for the recent comment on my blog. I'll definitely add you to my list, some great motivation to keep hitting the road.

I'm really looking forward to the new course at Spinx, but glad I'm only doing the Half. My upcoming key races (Kiawah Half and Shamrock Marathon) are pretty flat. We had Tybee on the schedule too, but it has been cancelled so we are considering Mercedes in Birmingham.

Great to read all the blogs from the Greenville running community. I have not yet ventured onto the trails but fully intend to in the future.

Our favorites will always be your first ones--the bright red ones that would show up if you fell off the mountain and into the snow head first! You'll look cool on Saturday!
Love ya,
Susan

Oh, I loved Wes's comment!!
