5k and then some

Scott and I had a great day together on Saturday celebrating our Anniversary.

We ran in our local Susan G Komen 5k event and then kicked it off with a great breakfast after the event. Add in some puttering, a dreamy afternoon nap, and a fabulous dinner and we called it a day.

Sunday brought another run and would complete 45 miles for the week (5 short). I even had an hour massage at my house this afternoon revealing a few hot spots that I need to address to prevent any lurking problems before the big race. Overall I feel great considering what I put my body through. Good shoes and good food seem to be key!!!

Cheers to another week!
Robin

Sounds like a fun way to celebrate your anniversary!

Ooh, and a massage sounds really good to me right now. I'm envious.

I was thinking the other day how bad I needed a massage...and a nap.
-My body won't let me nap.

Perhaps we have started a new trend in running.. The Wedding Anniversary Run.

We need to somehow capitalize on this and promote it like Hallmark does for Valentines Day. We will grow rich beyond our dreams and spend our remaining years traveling the country running event after event.

Perhaps I'm napping and dreaming a bit too much.

I think it's great that you participated in the Susan G Komen race. We donate to the fund every year as a remembrance to Michelle's Aunt and her Aunts Daughter who both lost their battle to breast cancer. Breast Cancer Sucks!
