GO Time....

'Be kinder than necessary; For everyone you meet is Fighting some kind of battle.'

I am not sure the reason but events take place in your life or around your life that allow you the opportunity to put things into perspective. An event like this has taken place around me this week and I am blessed to have yet another opportunity to do this.

This will be my last post before I toe the line at MMTR on Saturday morning. I have trained. I have mentally wrapped my mind around the 54 miles of painful yet beautiful hills. I am ready!!

My husband will provide much needed support to get me in an out of each station as fast as possible. My girl, Jackie will force me to eat even when I am convinced that I don’t want to. Bigger than that is the fact that Jackie will also pace me for the last 20 miles. This section is also the nastiest so her company will be much needed. To have them crew me is… well….. AMAZING and I am thankful. It will not be an easy job.

I cannot express how much I have enjoyed the process this year…good and bad… and have loved all the positive comments each of you have left week after week in my training. It has helped me more than I can express.

So I leave you with some last minute info about the event:

Mount Masochist Trail Race - Lynchburg, Va

Start time: 6:30am
Field size: 286
Weather: 31 low / 68 high (no rain!!)
Gain/Loss : 9200 / 7200ft
Aid Stations: 17 total

See you on the other side!

Eat early...eat often... Drink early...drink often... I hear ya Bob :)

" For the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared." Proverbs 3:26

R--meant to share this in my earlier comment! Hide it in your heart and remember it on those uphills and those rocks in the loop:).

Also, I read this in one of my Bible studies, and I wanted to share it with you.

You are most fully alive when you are on an adventure with God.

Enjoy that adventure--wish I was running it again--well, not really!!! Hee hee! Love ya,S.
