Passing the Time (9 days to GO)

After some crazy baking this past weekend I must report that the Peanut Butter Coconut Bars are getting tossed today. Come to find out, no one in my house likes coconut so I forced down as many as I could stand this week. I will likely gain 10 lbs from having eaten so many but after the one I had with breakfast this morning I can now say that I am officially done with them.

So I am bored… I have changed my blog look a bit and now I think I will turn my focus to something exciting…. Planning for next year. I have held off doing this until after MMTR but this morning I question why I would do this. Regardless of the outcome on Nov.1st I will still stick with my 2009 goals so the planning is taking place and that excites me.

Speaking of MMTR… I am so pumped about this race and can hardly wait to toe the start line. I have purchased the last needed supplies… well that post is coming.

Back to 2009 planning…

Can't wait to read about your 2009 plans. I always find planning out and searching for races gets me excited about running.

Almost time!

Oh yeah, I've been madly planning for 2009 too. Look forward to seeing what yours looks like. Maybe ours will cross over? I may be headed up to NC for a race late in the year but we shall see ...

Good idea to do your 2009 plan before finishing your last 2008 race. That way you have the next thing to focus on and avoid a let-down after the race. I always try to keep several races planned out ahead of the next one. That way if I have a bad race, I can immediately shift focus to the next one and not stew on the last one.

Just a few more days... You are going to do awesome!

Ah - the dreaded 'plan for next year'. I have a love-hate relationship with the 'plan for next year'. I love looking for new challenges to do; new places to visit; new goals to set. But as someone with self-diagnosed ADD I have a hard enough time planning what to do TOMORROW!

If you come across any really good events that require a lot of eating and sleeping, please let me know so I can add it to my schedule!

Uh, I really really like Oatmeal Raisin cookies.....Just in case you get even more bored.
Actually, I like any kind of cookie.

Good luck on the race. I will be sending good vibes your way.

I am sure you will be as tough in the race as you have been in your training.

Oh boy! Taper madness has set in! Don't worry about all the extra eating. Your body is a lean mean fat burning machine. You were just "fueling" for the MMTR.

OK, since you are doing all your planning we need to have you sign up for the White River 50 mile here in Washington in 2009. It fills up really fast but if you are lucky you will beat Dr. Dave Horton to the registration and ace him out!

It was nice meeting you at Spinx today. I appreciated your support on the McDaniel hill. I wish I could have spent some more time speaking with you and your husband after the finish but I was feeling the effects of stopping and was getting very lightheaded. Didn't think it was proper etiquette to pass out in the concourse of Flour Field.

Good luck again with your upcoming race. I look forward to reading your reports.
