Relentless Forward Motion

What a great surprise!  Stuart was so nice to send me this band of motivation.  Imprinted are the words...
"Relentless Forward Motion"

And just like that I am in motion and excited to wear my new surprise as a constant reminder of the kind gift from a fellow blogger.  THANKS STUART!!!!  Very nice!!!

Sundays ride was...well...to be honest... good and bad.  The good part was that even with 40 degree temps I was more than toasty in my cycle gear.  Other than spin classes or my trainer it has been since September since I last hit the road.  It felt foreign and unfamiliar in the weirdest way.  To spare you the nasty details I had to cut the ride short by 9 miles and only rode 21 total.  My pace was awful and my legs were empty.  A true eye opener and one I am glad that I had.

With this came the beginning of my half iron training on Monday.  This plan will lead me to a half iron in May and then the full Iron in November.  I still have time so I am not freaking out but this girl is more motivated than ever.

Now I am off for my run.....

Love it. Relentless forward motion was my mantra during the VT marathon. I continue to use it from time to time. Sorry your ride was a tough one. That means you'll have plenty of great ones ahead of you!

Nice band! It's a tough time of year to be out riding, especially when you haven't been out in a while. It's a good time of year to get in the pool and start building that swimming base. ;-)

Oh, ya. Make sure you record the Ironman Hawaii broadcast this weekend. A definite motivator for you upcoming training.

Robin - Stop trying to put that band on your forehead. You wear it on your arm!

That is the mantra... constant forward motion, relentless forward motion, keep the shuffle going, quick step, quick step, quick step!

Why are we so eager to see the finish line when it mean an end to the experience?

Yay for motivation! It's always so refreshing and inspiring to start a new training program isn't it?

That bracelet rocks too!

Even attempting to ride in 40 degree weather is more hard core than I wanna be :-)

Cute picture! I love that saying.

I am in for a harsh "eye-opener" when I finally get on my bike and back in the pool. It's been a while. :(

I think you embody those words--forward relentless motion.
Love the humbling experiences.

Nice gift from a fello ultraRunner. I wear two bands to remind me what I need to do when I'm out there..

Sounds like you got the TRI bug in full force. The bike legs will come, okay you got me motivated to start TRI training again.
