What does this mean to me? A lot!
This marks the beginning of our local Spinners Club Tuesday and Thursday group rides of more than 100 plus cyclist. Last year was my first year of being involved with this group and this year excites me even more. With new goals insight I am looking forward to gaining strength on the bike.
For several weeks I have been eating greener, fresher, less processed foods. At first it was on purpose and the meals took planning. Now it seems that I am craving more and more of these foods. Add in a ton of chicken, pork, and some smaller portions of red meat and that would be about it. I have also became accustomed to having a protein bar and a hot tea every afternoon at 1:30pm. Seems to get me through until I get home at 4pm and have my pre-workout snack.
So this afternoon I am riding 25 miles and then finishing it off with a 2 or 3 mile run.
Saturday Scott and I will tackle a 45 mile ride and are hoping that the 60% chance of rain is all a big lie. Sunday will be a 8 mile run…maybe 10 and that will finish out my week.
Come on Spring!

I do the five meals a day thing. Unfortunately, they are not even. The mid morning and mid afternoon things are more like a snack.

Maybe I should try a mid-afternoon protein bar. I am always STARVING by the time I leave work at 5.

I promise those tracks, I've been so overwhelmed lately, but I'm thinking about you and Chris! Forgive me babe.
Yay, you just reminded me of Daylight Savings! :) I always love an extra hour in the day - it makes more time to run! I have an 8-miler planned for tomorrow too. I look forward to reading your next blog!
