Why is it that you find the BEST deals on things when you don’t have the money to spend?!! I will wear the heck out of a worn-out bra or a beat up belt (finally split in two and hit the trash yesterday) but not blink an eye at signing up for an event.
Right now my pennies are beginning saved for the hope that I will officially sign up for the Beach 2 Battleship Iron event coming up this November. I am scheming and plotting about making this happen. If by some small chance it does not than I absolutely will have a backup plan ready. I can search the web like nobody’s business.
This week’s workouts have gone great!

Great job with the workouts! I'm going to have to try those smoothies out.
Mmmmm, I haven't made a smoothie forever but I do love chocolate/banana/PB ones. Thanks for the reminder!
I signed up for IMAZ and it was so freaking expensive. :( I felt terrible since money is tight but it's so important to me so it is worth it.
Have fun on the bike ride this weekend! Yay for nice weather. :)
SOrry...give me a real milkshake from Pete's!! You and Scott enjoy those!! Eric, I'msure they are yummy...kinda like my Luna bar that you and Jackie didn't care for!!

LOL ya me too, umm now stay out of my business--haha
Hope it works out for you Robin and soooo have to try those shakes & blast out! YUMMY!!
That second smoothie sounds goood....
I sort of believe that if a person has the discipline to prepare for an ironman event they can almost always find a way to save the pennies for it. More often than not it is the same skill set...
Good luck!
Yum on the shakes. I'm going to work on your music this weekend. :) I promise.....
i never try to make protein shakes taste good. i just dump a scoop in water and stir, gut it down. everyday.
i hope you get registered for your event, and soon.
Gah, one of these days I need to get a blender. I'm lazy and often don't want to take the time to fix and eat a nice recovery meal after a workout but a smoothie would do!
Nice job on your workouts and I too look forward to nice weather this weekend (into the 80's for us!).
What about workout shoes? A recent report says why worry over sport shoes.....they do not work.
