HOT..HOT... MILES

Part of our Team. Look at the Mountains in the background!!
Scott with Joe (68 years young) enjoying an after ride beer

I am completely loving the team I am training with. The miles are building and the heat is not letting up.

Once I recover from this past weekends ride adventure to the Lake on Saturday and then a return ride back on Sunday morning I will fill you in on the heated details. I will note that the route was like a mind bender roller coaster. One roller after another. My butt will feel it in the morning for sure.

Sugar update:
Week three of carving the sugars out is complete. I actually find that I am not having to put a ton of effort towards making good selections. Easy to pass up on the sweets which is freaking weird people!! . Not even trying I have dropped 4 lbs. but will have to watch that number. Currently 5'6" and 121 lbs.

Off to another week.
Robin

Nice job on those b2b long rides, look like you can't shake that ultra thing off!

That's awesome.
Keep it up. After running an Ultra, all I want to do is eat sugar.
I'm going back on my all meat and beer diet.

Outdoor thermometer hit 118.2 (not shaded) and balcony 106 today, so after 38 mi yesterday, know how hot it must have been for you riding with standing water at the side of the road.

The only thing worse than the heat was seeing you sprawled out across your bike with seat so back and hands so forward, barely even reaching the top of the bars - let alone the brake blocks. :-O

Totally a mechanic thing, but if you were my neighbor I'd sneak into your garage and fix that fit! Hurts my back and makes me shudder to look at it. Ouch! Good to know that will soon be fixed, because when you change your position on the bike your musculature needs a little time to adapt.

Kudos on the long back-to-back rides and diet. Details! :D

Nice group photo!

As long as you're feeling good and strong, weight loss is good. Doesn't sound like you need to lose any more, though. Scott looks great in that photo, BTW.

Sounds like you really have found a great team! :) And I'm very impressed with the sugar cut, although you are so small already! Healthy though and that's what matters!
