Becoming NORMAL

Our crazy seems to be becoming our NORMAL.

Most days Scott is the prepping bikes while I am prepping food and bottles. The bike kits have become priority over other clothes and seem to be a never ending cycle of washing. We have actually gotten our routine down to a fine science. No communication needed and we just get busy with our task.

We have even begun to talk about future events…next year’s goals and adventures. We play around with the thoughts of travel. Just the other day we even discussed a possible marathon. I love the planning…and the training.

Last night, after arriving home following our weekly group ride, it was close to 9:30pm before all the prep for the next day’s adventures were completed. I write all of this to note that for the first time EVER I still have this month’s issue of Runner’s World and Bicycle Magazine to read. Seriously, this has never happened. In most cases I would have dove right in soaking up all of the latest-greatest new tips and tricks. Maybe…just maybe I will get an opportunity to enjoy some reading therapy this weekend.

I haven't read this month's Runners World yet either. Hmmm.

BTW, the book next to my wine might as well have been ADHD for Dummies, because I had no attention span to do anything homework yesterday! (or today for that matter) LOL

Amazing how much you can get done once you get it down to a routine. 25 yrs ago when living in LA we used to get up at 4:45AM and ride in the mornings before getting ready for work and an hour and 15 minute commute(15 miles).

I'd be at my desk 4 hrs later and think nothing of it.

Just catching up Robin. Wow, life sounds great and very busy (remember last year at this time?)!

Love the medal collection and putting them into frames....hmmmm, okay, now you've got me thinking!

I've been getting up at 5am and either cycling or running before I head off to work, makes you appreciate the day....

glad to read you are "becoming normal"
