Living your DREAM!

This week I did something that was both so exciting and scary all rolled into one emotion.

It is OFFICIAL… I am signed up for the 2011 Louisville Ironman. Over the past 2 months I have been reviewing training plans and talking with coaches. Making the final decision on what plan I will be put into place. It is all coming together nicely!

Scott and I are on the final stretch of training before we leave out to cycle in the Challenge to Conquer Cancer from Greenville, SC to Austin, TX on October 17th . As a relay of 5 teams we will cover over 1400 miles keeping a team on the road 24 hours a day until we reach our destination. What a journey this has been.

My dad... a cancer Warrior

Tonight is our final night training ride that will begin at 9pm for 75ish miles and will likely end sometime around 1am on Saturday morning. The freaks really do come out at night people.

Congratulations. When you go BIG, you also GO HARD :-) Have a great time on your ride. That's exciting and you have been working so hard. My father is a cancer survivor. That's why I am a Livestrong Warrior!

Way to go... and be sure to factor in the HEAT when you do the IM... my sister-in-law did it this year and her time was 2 hours slower than the one she did in Florida because it was SOOOO hot.

Have a nice ride tonight... I'll be dreaming.

Really psyched for you and Scott that you met your fund-raising goals and will get to do the Austin ride again this year.

Give your dad my best. The best decision I ever made was to move from Florida to California so I could spend what would turn out to be his last 2 years close by. Parents aren't forever, and when they're gone, we find so many questions we never thought to ask.
