Miles of Darkness

I have no real good solid reason for my disappearance on this blog. I do plan on posting the dirt on my Ironman training that begins the last week in November but until then.....

Scott and I are just days away from rolling out on our 1500 mile journey from Greenville, SC to Austin, TX. I would personally like to THANK each blogger that helped us in reaching our $10,000 goal.

This week has been a hard one for me. :( We received news of this mean Cancer that is so aggressive that final plans are being made for someone very dear to my heart. Very sad and many tears shed. There was other news of others that we are connected to us and it all just seemed so heavy. As bad as all of this seems it is my faith that what we are doing IS making a difference in the research needed to find a cure. With that I feel even more honored to depart on this journey on Sunday.

Once we are rolling you can track us along the way and read blog updates sharing in our experience.

Robin,
So sorry to hear such bad news. Why does it seem to come at such a time when you are so close to the team's departure date? Remember last year - very similar that several things happened right before we left.

Cancer sucks so bad. Thank you for your and Scott's dedication to the cause. You are making a difference. I'll be riding with you all in spirit, but please keep us posted with your blogs.

Oh, dear friend... I am so sorry to learn that you're having such a rough week. I am so proud of you and Scott and ALL of my P3C3 friends for what you are doing to fight back at the horrible disease that keeps affecting and taking loved ones from everyone. You guys truly are making a difference.

Call me if you need to chat (or just vent before you leave about any packing drama or anything else :D.) Love ya!
