Place Your Bets

I have an ANGRY STOMACH today. Perhaps it is from the food I took/borrowed from my co-workers yesterday that did it. LOL! I promise to pay them back :)

Even after having a day of FAILS yesterday (alarm clock, coffee pot, food) I managed a solid ride with hubby yesterday afternoon. He predicted that I would have a major BONK. Never happened. In fact, we managed an avg. 18.6mph for the overall ride. At the halfway point we were closer to 20mph. The wind played a huge role in the 2nd half. When dinner rolled around I feasted….it was so good!

Training for this week calls for 12hr30min total. Since I am running the Greer Half Marathon on Saturday I have had to make a few adjustments and shift some of the days around but will still meet my overall workout goals for the entire week.

So will Saturday be a RACE or TRAINING RUN? Mainly my body and legs will dictate it. The plan initially was to use it as a Training Run….but we all know how that sometimes turns out.

I get such a kick out of a race being a training run. I guess since I am not a runner, I just dont get it

That you can even consider racing a half untapered coming off a hard week is impressive!

I like the idea of your half marathon being a training day... but, then again, I have never been that far in my "training" to call 13.1 miles a training run! lol

Day of decision. Although, I have remarkably stuck to the plan pretty solid thus far and not raced days I was supposed to chill.

I am in the same predicament for next weekend... race it (plan calls for 13.1 TT) or take it easy and heal up... hmmmmm
