With Thursday being my scheduled long run for the week I made a quick change into this new running outfit purchased at Target earlier in the week (top $15, skirt $17). I had hoped that it held special powers that would provide me speed and cooling comfort. NOT! My 10 miler through the park was HOT! The humidity has increased in record speed this past week. At mile 9 I began cramping in both of my calves as I did during my workout on Tuesday. Time to start taking some s-caps. I did manage to consume two bottles of liquid but even with that I drank like an elephant once arriving home.
To think…. The best of the heat is yet to come.

I like Targets C9 gear, I just wished they made mens running shorts
BOO to humidity but thumbs up on the outfit! And what a bargain! I'm lucky to get ONE article of tech clothing for under $40 around here.
Have a great weekend!!!
Running "down south" is a whole different story when it's getting warmer. I remember my runs in VA felt like I was trying to run through swamp land!
Great prices Robin!
Just did a post on my blog, but thumbnail is it will be snowing up in Tahoe for the start of the Amgen Tour of California. Temps down to 23 the night before, and 37 and "raining" for the 10:30 AM start on Sunday. If this turns into freezing rain, or sleet over the passes they may have to reschedule.
Sent us some heat. PLEASE!!!
Sorry 'bout the cramps. That sucks! It seems to me that Target has tons of womens workout clothes, but they only have just a tiny bit for men. Oh well. I like what you scored for such a cheap price!
look into coconut water. made by O.N.E.
score! keep up the heat training!
Heather is dealing with major cramping on the run too. I know some of H's issues are not enough hydration.
Keep up the good work, don't let the heat stop you, I WISH we had SOME heat haha. 44 degrees yesterday and more rain.
