Humidity

I am over summer. The humidity is kicking my butt!!

As I waited for our trail run to begin on Friday I messed my entire mojo up even before I had started. Spot a poisonous snake and the sound of thunder and it began. I hate negative attitudes and I had one. We did manage to get the run in but boy was it humid.

Saturday was not much different. Although my attitude was better is was once again hot and humid. I took in 36 oz. on our 8 mile run. Once I returned home I took in another 40 or more and then headed out to dinner and a movie. Even once returning home at almost 11pm I had not needed to use the bathroom once in almost 7 hours. Where did all of those fluids go even after I stopped running? Crazy!!

Today I took the body pump class at the gym. This was another killer class and I am feeling total fatigue from it and loving it. What a refreshing change in routine.

Happy running!
Robin

My guess would be you perspired a lot of it, and your body was retaining the rest for repair work! Nice weekend :-)

I didn't realize it got so humid down in SC. I always see you guys talking about how humid it is in your blogs, makes me scared to ever want to move there LOL. I tell DH all the time . . forget Florida, we need to go down to the Carolina's for retirement :P

Huh Marcy ? ! ! forget Florida, I have a nice thick slice of Humid pie waiting for you:-)

WEll, since I am a freak and have been training in this crap for the past few months, umm hate to say it but "I kinda like it now"-lol I am getting use to it and look forward to sweating out 5 pounds then putting it all back in--ahhhh so fun!!!

Be Safe Robin it can sneak up on ya worse then that snake, so DRINK Plenty Before, during & after and get those electrolytes in ya, that will make u pee more...u were probably dehydrated if u didn't go for 7 hours. Mr. Humidity is a tricky peep:-)

Yikes - that's a thoughy to run in such humidity! During summer time in NYC I schlepped around tons of water and it still wasn't enough. Here in SD it's different, always a soft breeze and more dry. But everything aside, it will only make you a stronger and better runner:-)

Humidity is no fun, I agree! I try to think that it won't be here long and in a couple months I will be wishing it is warm out. Have a good week!

We have had a rare spell of humidity here on the Washington State coast. Just feeling muggy! Think cool and summer will be over before you know it.

Hope your bladder eventually started working again!

I don't miss the humidity at all. Or poisonous snakes. Nice job with those runs though. And I may be getting a bit closer to this whole yoga thing you've been yapping about... :)
