Rest Day

No run today. It is beautiful outside but I have decided to take a complete rest day. I have some sick guys in the house today so I am in full "momma mode" today and will take care of my family. I only pray that I do not get the feverish mess they have. Lots of liquids and soups on the menu today.

Friday I joined CC for a run on some new trails we discovered close by. To save time after work I actually changed into my shorts in the carpool line. I must admit that even I thought it a bit funny while I was doing this but time is precious with the sun setting around 5:15pm these days. The path takes you through some slight rolling hills and bridges that carry you over some of the swamp land. It really was nice. This will be a good option during the week for the shorter runs to keep us off of the road.

So this next week I need to get my mileage plans in place for the upcoming 5ok. The true test will be in fitting in the weight training, cross training, and yoga that I so badly need. I can do this but my planning will have to be good. Can't leave out the nutrition... so much to remember.

UPDATE: Monday..... SICK....crap!! I feel rotten!!!! Should have ran yesterday. Rats......

Sorry to hear your boyz are feeling sick. We are struggling with that same thing here (not me personally!). Very cool that you found a new trail. My advice to you is experiment with your nutrition a lot during your training! and hang tough! :-) Money in the bank for 50K day!!

Ya this Ultra running stuff isn't easy there is a lot to remember & apply.

I think I am going back to online poker & beers that was easier :-)

Have a great training week!

Did I ever get an 8 mile split from you? I apologize if I misplaced it. Thinking that you said you ran it but didn't have a split. Let me know if you want me to add you to the results!!! :D

That sucks! Sounds like Scott is getting better, but probably still feels like crap. Hope it passes soon for you!

if you want I can get that GOTTA RUN down at the Bottom....right on that ROAD, it will be a little easier to read . Just a thought...you can Email the photo only and I can ADD the words down at the Lower part...

Maybe Go with Gotta Run BLUE? to Match the sides? but Red looks good too
