Thoughts of a Run

I am going to live. Getting sick sucks in a major way. I hate how it just sucks the life right out of you. My entire family has passed around a bottle of NyQuil for the past few nights like it was candy. Sleeping like babies by 9pm. Today I had the hardest time getting rid of the medicine head feeling that I am not going to take it at all tonight.

My feet did do some running once this week. It went something like this….

Honey I am going running…leave before he can stop me… first steps felt heavy and uncoordinated…one mile…keep going you are feeling better…should have stayed at home… stop being such a wimp…mile two… not bad…. sweating tons…. Mile three… would love to run a few more miles… mile 4… who are you kidding…. Walking now. I was wasted and just plan wiped out.

So that was my one attempt. I did do another yoga session of 30 minutes. Digging this yoga stuff more and more. Maybe it will calm my inner monster in me…LOL!

Still planning my 22 miler. Will just do what I can do on Sunday. Until then I plan to rest.

I think the first run back after being sick is the worst! Good job getting out there...make sure you stay hydrated this weekend!:>)

Hope you are better by the time you run. That kind of distance will take it out of you, so you'll need to be back to 100%.

Be careful with that 22-miler. Long runs will (albeit for a short period of time) weaken your immune system.

Glad you're digging the whole yoga thing. It's great cross-training!

Just take it easy, you still have some time to ramp up the miles..

running sick is always not a fun time...

Sounds like you are getting better thou.. Or just tired of being stuck inside?
