Circuits and Secret Running

Can you keep a secret??  I ran.... just  little run.... 2.5 miles.... felt great... I loved every step.... felt like being reacquainted with  a lost friend.  Shari, my PT has not given me the green light for running just yet.  She was not overly thrilled by the fact that I went cycling last Tuesday for 29 miles.  I am trying but the waiting just took over and I found myself running... not wanting to stop.  Shari is awesome and has gone above her duties to make sure I address this IT Band issues once and for all.  Goal being smarter, more knowledgeable, stronger.  My hour of PT is torture and she makes me work hard. No slacking with this girl.  Two more sessions and I will miss her!!!!

The 35 mile Bakery Ride did not happen for me.  Temps dropped into the low 40's here in SC and with the chance of rain I passed.  All was not lost.  I headed to the gym to begin my 30 day circuit training for the next month.  Each day is a different 1 hour, intense workout( rest days are also written in this plan) focused towards making me stronger.  Add in some sprints and an hour cycle class and I am wasted.  Every bit of energy is drained and I feel great.  Can hardly wait to see what tomorrows prescription has in store.

Kind of sounds like another Lab Test...... :-)

If Scott tells then everyone really will know!

I could tell someone but I'd have to kill them afterwards!

Next month sounds interesting; you'll end up smarter and stronger for sure.

Hey I know I'm not a regular on this board, but I have to say I think you need to listen to your PT. Seriously, you could be turning something that would be a mild problem into something really awful. Give your body a chance to heal itself.

LMAO at Scott! All your energy is drained and you feel great? You're insane :P (but in a good way LOL)

I suck at secrets too :-D It's over!! ROFL!!!

I think Dee Dee's ITB issue stemmed from the bike, but what do I know. Glad to hear things are moving right along!!

be careful! my PT girl was mad at me when she heard i had gone for a long ride too ... apparently, the cycling can aggravate ITB issues just as much as running. the downtime sucks - but there is a light at end of tunnel ... take it slow!! (and from someone who NEVER practices what she preaches, you can take my advice or leave it!). either way, i'll keep your secret.

Take it easy, the bike made my ITB flare. Please don't get into a situation where you set yourself back. You will be so mad at yourself.... I suck at secrets but anyone I would tell already reads your blog anyway. :D

Running? What running? Who's running? I have no idea what you are talking about... ;-)

Glad you're workouts are going well and you're enjoying them. I too like that feeling of overworking my body and feeling so tired. Makes me feel the accomplishments.

Also, I have to chime in. Be careful, too.
