Run - 3.54 miles at 9:09 pace
Today Scott and I rode our longest ride to date. The weather was perfect with temps holding at 55 degrees. The wind gust were a killer but we managed to hold a pretty decent pace. About 4 miles into the ride we make a turn and head for the country. Low traffic with a some rolling hills were what we were in search of. The ride was GREAT. I am becoming more and more comfortable on the bike. Still have lots to work on but I will get there.
Ride: 30.60 average pace of 15.4 mph
All in all it was a great weekend. Looking forward to building on my running this week and joining the Tuesday night group ride again.
Live. Laugh. Play Hard.

Well, if you ever want to stop doing ultras you can always do Ironman, right? I hear AZ has a good one. I'll be more than happy to ring the cowbell for you, Lisa, David, and Mendy LOL
All right!!! Continued improvement, and putting in some impressive bike mileage! Woot!!
Love that... Live hard, love hard, play hard :-)
Sounds like a great weekend, glad to hear it's going well and from your tone you're enjoying it. From my experience it's going to feel a bit odd and will take a while before you find you feet, so to speak.
I'm very jealous you have a group ride, I was playing tag with another cyclist today and before I knew it we'd rolled through 10 miles or so.
Can you upload your rides to Motionbased.com from your Garmin and show us those hills? That's a great average pace, I was reduced to an average of 12 today, lots of climging...at least that's my execuse!
Here's to another good week.
You will be back to the 40+ miles in a week in no time. Sounds like a wonderful bike ride.
It is hard some times to hold back. I always want to keep going but know I should hold back. It sound like you will be back to 40 in no time
GREAT pace for your run considering you're JUST coming back to it!
Yes to running! Nice. It will come back, just stick to your plan.

Hi,
Thanks for the info on the splints, I've been doing toe raises and ice.
