A Perfect Day

Saturday fun.....

Trail Run:  The day started with a 8 mile trail run with Cheri.  The weather was absolutely perfect and being on the trails always makes the miles pass by so quickly.  Both of us will be doing the MMTR event together in November.  She is new to the blog world, so if you get a moment stop by her blog.

Swim:  Drove home following the trail run, changed into my swimsuit and hit the pool with Scott.  The pool was very crowded so I only got 700 meters in until we decided to cut the workout short.

Ride:  Joined my friend Susan and her husband for a 20 mile ride.  Her husband is a seasoned rider and was able to give me some great tips while letting me practice drafting.  Susan is also new to the blog world so welcome her if you have a moment.

Swim:  Once I returned home my oldest asked if I could go with him to the Sports Club and help him with his swim workout.  I could not resist.  We swam several hundred meters and then returned home.

It was a long, fun day and when I finally showered and sat down on the couch I was tired.  What I was most touched by is the fact that I have an awesome group of active friends that can join together and have fun.  The laughs on the trail run, laps with my husband and son,  followed by the views on the ride were gifts to me.  Loved one and friends like these are the best blessings a girl can ask for.
Sweet Downtime

Here comes another week....

Thanks so much for coming by my blog:)
As I'm currently lacking both running partners due to injury, I'd love to run sometime! I live in Simpsonville as well and typically run while the kids are at school. I do pull a few predawners (like today) and I anticipate more as summer draws near.

Drop me an email if you'd like to meet up.. justmarion@gmail.com

Great to meet another G-ville area runner:)

Thanks for the note on my blog. You're quite the active woman! Oh, and entering any race with the word masochist in the title... simply crazy! LOL

Have a great week and, thanks again for stopping by and noting so. ;-)

Looks like it's all coming together for you with your training. I know you're looking forward to getting back with the girls on the trails. Glad you had a good run, Robin.
