Tri Suit Test Run

Since returning from vacation I have hit the excersise full force. I can prove it by all of the chores that have been ignored this week at home. Today is no different since I am meeting my girls for a 8 miler this afternoon. By the time I return home from that, shower, eat, stretch etc. it will be almost time for bed. At this rate I will have to start wearing the undies that I hate if I don’t get some laundry done.

IronGirl event is this coming weekend on Sunday. I am looking forward to meeting some more blogging peeps and having fun. This is not an “A” race for me… come to think of it it is not a “B” or “C” race either. It is an event that I knew would keep things fun and exciting. Still I will go into this with what I have and do the very best that I can. This will be my first 400 meter open water swim so that in itself will be an adventure.

On the group ride last night I wore the Orca Tri suit that I got for Mothers Day for a “test run” and it seemed to work great. We followed that with a run as well. I really hit the fluids on the ride and run. Just could not get enough in with this heat.

Ride: 29 miles (16.6 average mph)
Run: 3.4 miles (8:49 average pace)

I have been eating really healthy and green since returning from vacation. I LOVE VEGGIES!! On my way home from the ride I stopped by McDonalds for my son and could not pass up a small hamburger and coke for myself. Follow that with a Vanilla Strawberry protein shake I made at home and my dinner was over. I must admit it hit the spot. I was starving!

I am making my rounds on all of your blogs… you guys all rock!
Robin

Glad you found a tri outfit that works! I have a top and shorts, didn't really like the full suit look on me.. I'm sure you rock it though. Great ride and run, and no worries on the McDonalds. Sometimes a girl just needs a burger. :)

I SOOOO hate the undies at the bottom of the drawer. You simply have to get one load in. :D

Glad to see you back! Hey, I completely know what you are saying about the underwear... I was just there a few days ago!

I love veggies?!?! What's up with that?!? :P

Forget the undies, just let it breathe! That was probably the wrong thing to say, huh?

Nice to read that you're back! Those pictures are beautiful, too...looks like you guys had a blast.

Glad you were able to get some runs in despite the heat and altitude; what doesn't kill you...

Good luck this weekend, you will do awesome!

The underwear comment, the funniest thing I read today, so true. Have a great time this weekend. I am sure you are going to have lots of fun. Good luck on the swim.

Sounds like a fun weekend coming up! The underwear drawer is like the gas gage in a car. When it's low it's time to fill up the washing machine.

I totally missed your vacation pics! I need to get out to AZ one of these days. I'd like to run a Grand Canyon rim to rim with Michelle but her heart issues don't allow much running in the heat.

Have a great "C" event!

that is always a good sign, umm I think :-)

What undies were you referring to? The old grannies or the dental floss kind? No need to reply. As for rim to rim to rim, if you are interested I will keep you up to date if I get a group together for the run.

Good luck on Sunday!

On my usual running path, there's a McDonald's and it's tempting not to run on through the drive-thru. Not so much that I like the food, but it brings back those memories of how big a treat Micky D's was when I was little! :)
