The main thought that is not leaving me as I begin the Iron Adventure this year is SMART TRAINING. By this I mean training by the plan. Staying within your limits. Last week I bit off more than I should have in cycling and as a result I had some pretty junkie, hard kick your butt rides. For some dumb reason I am trying to pick up in my cycling where I left off back in September. Not happening people.
So as much as it may pain me I am going to STICK WITH THE PLAN and be a smart girl. I have mapped out what needs to be done this week. This is what I will stick by. May not be what others would do but from all the books that I have absorbed over the holidays (4 awesome ones) one thing it the same... too much training too early is just that. Call it junk training. Call it injury or burnt out around the corner training. Not something I want.
2009 is about changing bad habits and TRAINING SMARTer. :)
