Scott and I have both signed up for an upcoming local charity ride with our new Team Harper cycle group. Part of what we have pledged to do with the team is to raise money. I have NEVER been good at this and I make no excuses. In the past I have avoided things like this like the plague.
This event and fundraiser will help continue to feed over 1300 home bound residents with a hot meal daily. I have attached a link to the right side of my blog. If you click on the logo it will bring you straight to the donation page. Even $1 will make a difference :)
On the workout front:
Had one of the BEST cycle ride of the month on Saturday. 30 miles in my zone 2 with a controlled energy out put. It was fantastic!!
Runs were also great this past week. Even with the cold weather I made it out the door for all but one of them.
Now onto another week.
BTW - will be posting another "Passing It On" this week. I have really enjoyed putting these little packages in the mail these past few weeks. :)

Sounds like a great event, the charity ride. Good for you guys!
The charity ride looks amazing :) great job getting out there in the cold! Have a great week!
Great job getting out there this week and kudos on the awesome 30 mile ride. Keep it up!
Good luck with your fundraising.
Good job on the ride but more so on getting out of your comfort zone! Many people never do...
Awesome charity, count me in.
Good for you getting out in that cold to do your runs. And raising funds for a good cause is a great way to not only help others but grow as a person, I believe. I would never have believed it until I did it myself. Kudos to you for doing so!
Great cause. I always enjoy participating in events with a good cause behind it.
Good for you signing up for a charity event! I bet it will be totally rewarding. :)
Great job on the ride! I'm so far behind you on that front.. Yikes!
Congrats on the great ride!
That sounds like a good event, too.
It's so great that you are participating in the fundraiser. Amazing workouts!
I do a lot of events and it is very satisfying. It makes your run (or bike or walk or swim or whatever) seem that much more useful. Great work!
