Wheels For Meals

This is something that is completely out of my comfort zone but here goes.....

Scott and I have both signed up for an upcoming local charity ride with our new Team Harper cycle group.  Part of what we have pledged to do with the team is to raise money.  I have NEVER been good at this and I make no excuses.  In the past I have avoided things like this like the plague.

This event and fundraiser will help continue to feed over 1300 home bound residents with a hot meal daily.  I have attached a link to the right side of my blog.  If you click on the logo it will bring you straight to the donation page.  Even $1 will make a difference :)

On the workout front:

Had one of the BEST cycle ride of the month on Saturday.  30 miles in my zone 2 with a controlled energy out put.  It was fantastic!!

Runs were also great this past week.  Even with the cold weather I made it out the door for all but one of them.

Now onto another week.

BTW - will be posting another "Passing It On" this week.  I have really enjoyed putting these little packages in the mail these past few weeks. :)

Good for you getting out in that cold to do your runs. And raising funds for a good cause is a great way to not only help others but grow as a person, I believe. I would never have believed it until I did it myself. Kudos to you for doing so!

I do a lot of events and it is very satisfying. It makes your run (or bike or walk or swim or whatever) seem that much more useful. Great work!
