BRA - Optional

This past Sunday I began a new phase in the weight training that I am so desperately trying to continue to stick with. I admit that I can easily fit two sessions a week in but a third one never seems to happen…so two it is. Anyway, on Sunday I began a new 5 week phase and my body responded. On Monday morning I wondered if putting on a bra was going to be optional. The PUB run last night was not much better. Legs spoke up and the arms continued to talk as well. I survived and today I can move enough to type about it. LOL!

Since the Winter League ride was a rain out this past weekend I jumped in a spin class. Loved the instructor and look forward to taking another class from her again. She knows how to pack in a very effective workout in a 45 minute slot. Before the class began I was disappointed that it would not be longer but as the 45 minute mark approached I was counting my blessings that the butt kicking was almost over.

So the update is that I am STICKING WITH IT and doing what I said I would do. Accountability is what this blog is about at times. To treat myself I purchased these fun new socks. They made me smile. Thanks for the shopping tip on where to find them Judy!!

Those are some rockin' socks!

Way to keep up with the weight-training.

I LOVE Spin class, but I am always watching that clock for the last 15 minutes. And my instrctor ALWAYS goes over and yet I still trick myself into believing "only XX" more minutes. LOL!

Yup that wishful third time at the gym is hard to manage. It throws off the plan...for me because my body gets too tired to do lots of cardio and cardio time gets lost as well.

I think twice a week is perfectly fine if you just want to support the cycling. Lift really hard when you go...your max!

Love those cute socks!!!!

i'd much rather ride rollers or the trainer in my livingroom, verses a spin class. cuz that way i get to pick what music, or i can do a spinerval dvd, and i can go longer than 45 minutes. but i guess it'd be ok if you could find back to back spin classes.

Love the socks!
I do spin with our triathlon group so our instructors are the cycle coaches. They KILL us in 45 minutes....

Love the socks. I am starting on a twice a week weight training routine as well in an effort to build more muscle for my 2010 season. Also, two butt kicking spin classes will be my speed workouts for the week, along with running and swimming. Its good to get these programs in place before the new year.

OK, I feel much better now about working out every-other-day. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! Jamming to get 5 loads of laundry humped up and down stairs and down to the laundry room so I can go riding today after a BAD migraine yesterday. Rather ride than StairMaster and core, but it is winter, so catch as catch can.

LOL on the socks. Nice to see you have a playful side! ;)
