Thursday is my FRIDAY!
Heading out of town to enjoy the Cooper Bridge Run (40,000 runners for this 10k) on Saturday followed by the Bridge Ride on Sunday. A total girls weekend!
Notable Workouts for this past week:
Tuesday night is our local ride here where anywhere from 150-350 cyclist show up on any given Tuesday. A smaller group of about 12 headed out together making our way through the country. I tried to pull as much as possible (Ironman practice)and only rotated to the back 2 or 3 times for a brief recovery . I felt strong and was even more than pleased to see the avg. pace(18.2 mph) when it was all said and done. A quick change into my running shoes and I was off for a short run with a dear friend. She is kicking Cancers ASS and training for another tri. I was honored to run with her!!
Wednesday had several challenges in the afternoon so my best options was to pull my butt out of my cozy bed for a 5am run. When I opened the front door I was greeted by rain. It was not much of a factor and I just focused on the assigned workout plan. At mile 6 my legs began to talk a little trash but after the lightning and thunder hit I all but sprinted back to the house. Amazing how I still had that one in the tank..ha!
Closing in on week 16…… getting closer and closer to IMKY.
