An update or two…..
(Tanner always enjoys nap time)
I had almost made it through the Iron training without the hint of an injury. One week ago I wrenched my lower back while reaching in the car for some sunscreen before my long ride. I will spare you the EPIC DRAMA that I created within myself to say that muscle relaxers, easing off training for a few days, and having the best support around has helped me once again regain focus.
After months of swimming at an indoor pool I now have the brand new outdoor pool available at the Y. I had feared that having a lane would be impossible but so far I have had zero problem. SCORE!!
(yes, I am one of those cheerful morning people)
Hitting some morning runs EARLY to escape the heat and humidity just makes for a perfect day! Trying to stay awake at night after 8:30pm is another challenge all together.
So I am entering the final two weeks before Ironman Louisville on August 28th. Lots of gear prep ahead but first I have another great weekend of training.
Loving EVERY MINUTE!!

So happy for you! ITS SOOOOO CLOSE!
I so wish we had an outdoor pool, I guess having one in Ohio really is NOT worth the cost to install it haha.
Keep hitting these last few workouts. I can't wait for you to cross the finish line!
That outdoor pool looks awesome! Can you imagine the tragedy of having to scratch your I'm because you threw your back out reaching for sunscreen? So glad you are feeling better :)
