New Shoes

It was a sad day this weekend when I retired my first pair of trail shoes. These have been the best fitting more comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I truly LOVE them. I normally would donate them to a local running store but I believe I will hold onto these. We have been through so much this year. Rain, mud, dust, hills and some very low lows followed by highs during my first Ultra. Yes you have done a fine job!! When the store owner brought the new shoe out in a different color I freaked. He promised his life on it that is was the same shoe.
I also bought one additional pair of road shoe so that I could alternate between the two. Also the same shoe just in a different color pattern. Yes I also freaked when I saw these shoes.

On the running update today: I had some slight knee pain during the night but not bad. I headed to the Sports Club this morning to tackle my 10 miles. I completed 3 miles on the elliptical and then decided to head to the treadmill. I will simply say that it was not in the cards today. I know that recovery takes time but I literally was brought to tears. It sucks but I am going to get past this. Positive thoughts!! That is my focus and tomorrow is another day.

Love the news shoes! I'm trying to put as many miles on mine as fast as I can so I can get a new pair too.

What's up with the lacing on the bottom?? If it's a secret to "the perfect fit" then you better not be holding out on us! :)

Poor knee... :( Yes, positive thoughts.

Nice Shoes.........

I need some new shoes, gonna look around this week.

Robin it's ok also to continue to ICE after a run on ur knee and that quad were the knot is to keep the inflammation at bay...

Have a goood week and take a rest maybe tomorrow from running, you hit it good for the past few days, maybe as u work those knots out this week keep ur mileage just a little lower.

Great looking shoes. I had the same feeling with ASICs changed the my yellow shoes to blue.

I know how heart breaking a prolonged injury can feel. No matter how many times we tell you to take it easy and let it heal, you still want to go out there and get in the miles. On the plus side, you're an incredibly strong runner .. you'll get there.

Robin are those the (on the bottom) the Nike Air Span 4's? You like them? I think next time I'm going with those.

(((HUGS))) on the knee pain. I can totally understand how frustrating this must be :( Sending you healing vibes!

Very cool trail shoes! Good to make them bright and colorful so you can still see them when they are caked with mud. ;-)

Sorry about the knee. Maybe the back-to-back days of long runs is aggrevating it?
