Customer Service Praise

This comes in many forms… some good and some bad. I could make this post all about the bad but instead I am going to point out the exceptional service I received from Appalachian Outfitters.

Last summer I purchased a fuel belt from this store and have had miles of running with this belt. Off and on I have had some problems with the bottles fitting properly in the holders so two weeks ago I dropped by to look for another option. To my surprise they offered to send my current belt back to the manufacture for me and then offered a store credit for another belt of my choice. Now that is service!! Keep in mind that I provided no proof of purchase and rarely ever go to this store. Needless to say I am impressed and thanked them for all that they have done to make me an even happier customer.
Old Belt

New Belt (ordered)

This baby will hold 40oz. total and that will make all the training runs on the trails a bit easier for hydration reasons. Plus the pocket will hold food and wipes for those unexpected bathroom breaks. Road training and trail training are very different. Once you are out on the trail for long runs you likely do not have the opportunity to just drop water or make a quick stop at the car for more supplies. Being prepared makes it so much easier.

On the training front:

Monday: 3 miles treadmill / lower body weights/ yoga

Tuesday: 4 miles treadmill / upper body weights

Tonight I will cross train, lower body weights, then end it with yoga. good week so far :)

The only time I ever get to stop by the car is when I'm doing a looping route, which for me, is almost never! It is NICE though to have the option of running into a gas station for a stop at an "aide station" :-)

It's also nice when people show they actually care about you a little bit, and profit, while important, isn't the end all be all.

That is great service!! My friend has had trouble with the bottles as well. One time we doubled back to look for a bottle that had fallen out.

That is AWESOME customer service! I love it when you can find companies that can be that supportive! It is so often the other way. I can only imagine how important being prepared is on the trails. Glad this will take care of your problems :)
