Running Prep

She said it..... her words... not mine.... Running Prep.  My PT said the words that I have longed to hear.  No pain or discomfort with anything she had me doing today.  My hour plus session with her is serious business.  She pushes me, corrects me, and then pushes me more.  I loved it!  You know you are working hard when you need a sweat rag 15 minutes into the session.

So the circuit training will continue as planned for a 30 day cycle.  Focused on total all over body strengthening.  In one week I begin adding running at a tier level plan that she has given me.  Yes!!!  This time next week I will be running. Very happy.... very happy.
How I have missed the trails but once again an injury has made an athlete smarter(that's me). Man I hate to admit that!!

If weather permits I will be hitting the roads to cycle the 29 mile route again on Wednesday. Please let it rain another day.  I want to RIDE........  Really want to get some more miles in before the Ride with Ronald event on Saturday.

Robin

BTW - I wimped out on confessing to the fact that I did some small secret running.  Totally avoided her when asked.  She knew... I think.

Oh you bad girl!

I put on running shoes for the first time for a while today and reminded my knees what running was, so far so good!

Sounds like your going to have a very solid month and come out stronger, wiser and ready!

You're an inspiration... and the secret running just proves that your also and addict! ha! no, that's great that you're working so hard to get back into things.

I'm injured too and as soon as I figure out the root of the problem I'll be on the PT path back to the running as well. It's frustrating for sure, so it's great to hear you're making progress!

You are a run-a-holic, your PT should shun you and make you do more workouts as punishment.
On the serious side, you are doing great, keep it up.
